The protagonists of the display ‘Eroine di Stile’ are the women of the Italian Risorgimento that have been forgotten by the history but not by the fashion. These women were intellectuals, aristocrats, commoners, fighters and religious united by the same dream of Italy’s Unification. This display in fact has been organized on the occasion of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Italy’s Unification. The exhibition, set in Rome at Museo Nazionale Romano Palazzo Altemps, is a sort of journey between history and fashion because contemporary Italian famous fashion designer have dressed female characters such as Anita Garibaldi, Cristina di Belgioioso, the countess of Castiglione and Maria Sofia di Borbone. The display has been promoted by Provincia di Roma and will last until the 22nd of January 2012.
